Your UK buying checklist

This English companion covers UK checks beyond the clip. It is not a transcript or a list of video chapters.

  1. Choose your product

    Find a product in the spreadsheet; confirm the live listing, colour, size, quantity and seller notes.

  2. Pay for the order

    First payment: products, delivery within China and any selected paid services. Sugargoo then purchases the items for delivery to its warehouse.

  3. Review warehouse QC

    Once items arrive, check your own order’s QC photos and measurements. Request missing details and resolve problems before submitting a parcel.

  4. Arrange UK delivery

    Confirm parcel weight, item restrictions, an available route and your UK address, then pay international shipping separately. Check applicable import charges.

Use this sample message when an important detail is missing from your order photos.

Request a more useful QC photo

Replace the bracketed details with the option you actually ordered. Ask for the measurement points you need, not just another wide photo.

Please confirm this is [item, colour and size]. Could you provide a flat chest-width and garment-length measurement in centimetres, with both ends of the tape visible? Please also add a close-up of [the seam, label or fastening].

For shoes, ask which UK/EU size chart the seller uses and request the relevant footbed measurement. Photos and measurements still do not guarantee fit or authenticity.

UK Sizing: Compare the Actual Measurements

A familiar UK size is a starting point, not a promise of fit. Match the seller's measurement method before choosing an option.

Clothing: compare like for like

Lay a similar garment flat without stretching it. Record chest width, length and sleeve length in centimetres, then compare the same points on the listing's chart.

Watch the measurement: flat width and body circumference are different. A 54 cm flat chest measurement is not a 54 cm body measurement.

Shoes: check the size system

Confirm whether the selected option uses UK, EU or another size system. Use that seller's chart and ask which foot or footbed measurement it refers to.

Avoid a universal conversion: a labelled UK size does not establish the fit of every model. Ask for a clear measurement when the chart is ambiguous.

Sets and children's clothing

Check every piece in a set separately. Compare shirt length, chest, waist and shorts or trouser length as relevant; confirm which pieces the chosen option includes.

Do not rely only on age: match actual measurements and check fastenings, care information and seller details before ordering.

  • Confirm the recipient name, address, postcode and contact details in the live platform.
  • Use the parcel's measured weight and dimensions and the route's own charging method. An early estimate is not a final invoice.
  • Ask whether every item is accepted before paying for a route, especially liquids or battery-powered products.
  • Keep the selected options, costs and shipment reference somewhere you can find them if you need platform support.

Check the rules for the actual destination: Great Britain and Northern Ireland can have different import treatment. VAT, duty and carrier charges are not interchangeable; when tax is collected depends on the purchase and goods.

Use the current official guidance and ask the platform what your quote includes. Do not assume a route name means every charge is covered. Goods must be declared correctly.
